2. General information
We process personal data only where necessary to provide this website, respond to enquiries or where processing is based on your consent. The relevant legal bases arise in particular from Article 6 GDPR.
3. Hosting and server log files
When you access our website, technically necessary data may be processed, including your IP address, date and time of access, requested page, amount of data transferred, browser and operating-system information and referrer information. This processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website and is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Contact form and email
If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we process the information you provide in order to handle your enquiry. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual measures or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries. Data is deleted when it is no longer required for the relevant purpose unless statutory retention obligations apply.
To protect the contact form against spam, submissions are checked automatically (hidden fields, a timing check and a content check). For this purpose, a pseudonymised (hashed) form of your IP address is stored on our web server for a short time and then deleted automatically. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in protecting our systems and our inbox against misuse.

Where we use cookies or similar technologies that are not technically necessary, they will only be used after you have given consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.
6. Web analytics (Plausible Analytics)
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly web analytics service provided by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, to understand how our website is used – for example which pages are visited, which websites refer visitors to us, the approximate location (country, region, city) and the type of device and browser. We also count anonymous interactions such as starting or sending the contact form (including the selected topic and the page language) or clicking on our email address; the content you enter is not transmitted to Plausible.
Plausible does not use cookies and does not store or read any information on your device. Your IP address and browser information are only used to generate a daily changing, anonymised identifier (a hash with a salt that is deleted every 24 hours); the IP address itself is not stored, and visitors are not tracked across websites or across days. All data is processed on servers in the EU (Hetzner, Falkenstein, Germany) and is only analysed in aggregated form. Plausible acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis and improvement of our website. You can object to this processing at any time, for example by contacting us using the details above.
7. Recipients and processors
Personal data may be disclosed to service providers used for hosting, technical operation or communications. Where required, these providers act as processors under contractual arrangements. Data is otherwise disclosed only where a legal basis permits it.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the relevant processing purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. The data is then deleted or anonymised.
